Nic Kazamia and Trevor Boris travel the globe and bring along their very different views of the world.

The Great Travel Challenge

“It’s going to get messy!”

A travel competition that takes you around the world with two completely different hosts. Trevor loves to live lavishly. Nic prefers life on the edge. Each episode they tackle a city and compete to bring you the best travel experience.

Viewers are the final decision-makers in this show. After watching, viewers vote for Trevor or Nic on Facebook. They can also critique the hosts and their recommendations or add travel tips of their own on Facebook and Twitter.

The Pilot

Our pilot episode takes The Great Travel Challenge’s odd-couple hosts to London.

Trevor is in search of a royal experience. He shops the high-end stores like Turnbull & Asser and gets trained in the social graces by Jean Broke-Smith, one of England’s most celebrated etiquette specialists. But did Trevor ever get that interview with Princess Kate?

Nic goes underground to find the “real” London. He hangs out in the city’s East End, where he encounters performance-art originator Penny Arcade and gets the lowdown on London’s hip-and-happening theatre scene. And who needs etiquette when you eat out of a food truck? Nic talks to one of the pioneers of London’s street-food movement. Did Nic give us enough “cool” to win over our viewers?

Executive producer David Walberg receives a Rockie Award for Best Pilot at the Banff World Media Festival.

The Team

Trevor Boris is one of Canada’s most successful comedians. He has appeared on Conan O'Brien's show and for years was a mainstay on Canada's MuchMusic.

Nic Kazamia is a hipster from Toronto’s trendy west end who has worked in television as a host and producer for more than 10 years. Maybe that is why he is so surly.

Executive producer David Walberg has been a successful publisher and producer for the last two decades at Canada’s Pink Triangle Press. The company's last pilot won a Best Pilot Award at the 2010 Banff World Media Festival.

Frank Prendergast has worked for more than 15 years as a producer at Pink Triangle Press, CTV, Bravo, Citytv and CHUM Television. His work in factual entertainment has been syndicated throughout the world.
